Our Projects

Chong Khneas, Cambodia
This was the original H4H project started with its founding members and a local community liaison, Arat. This area is heavily afflicted by alternating periods of flooding and drought that raise water levels amongst the entire community, and make food insecurity, job acquisition, and day-to-day life substantially harder. H4H is one of the only non-profit organizations that works in this area, and regularly distributes food and emergency materials to families in times of need.
Art Club Rwanda
H4H hosts an art club in rural Rwanda with 25+ students. Lessons run for 4 days a week and include transportation, warm meals, and all art materials provided to students. These are taught with a 3-month curriculum where students learn to sketch, paint, and model from local art professionals who study and teach at highly-esteemed schools.

Ikaze Innovation Academy
This institutional partnership serves as a full residential community and organization in Gashora, Rwanda where disadvantaged youth (refugees, backgrounds of poverty, early pregnancies, and other scenarios) come on full residential scholarship to start and grow their own business. Scholars cycle through 5 incubatory phases and are taught by professional business and personal mentors, typically within one year students are able to become financially independent and move out. Every business must be an enterprise with a social or environmental benefit, examples from IIA include:
• Safechoices: an AI-powered fertility technology made free and accessible to local communities to prevent teen pregnancies
• Agrifeed: An agricultural feed company making fodder with locally-sourced materials cheaper than alternative options for local, small-scale farming initiatives
• SmartSteps Learning: Creating practical school materials from recycled plastics distributed to local Early Childhood Development Centres in low socioeconomic areas
Democratic Republic of the Congo
H4H has worked in the DRC for the past year since conflict caused national bank closures. In partnership with the local organization EBCD, we provide emergency food, bedding, and supplies to 125 children whose parents have been killed or remain in exile within this conflict. Additionally, we have constructed a full chicken coup project and cooperative farming mechanism that provides local women with work as well as provides a food source for these children.

Canada
While we are an international nonprofit, we host initiatives to support our local community such as Soup-er-bowl which creates, distributes, and feeds the local displaced population.
